With the apple season just around the corner, does anyone take dried apples (or other types of dried apple mixes) along with them on the trail and if so, what do you take with you?

Oatmeal, cinnamon, nutmeg.
Apple chunk go well in vegetable soups also.

Funny how that works out. Out at my favorite camping spot this weekend. August = swarms of viscious mosquitoes. September = nary just one mosquito. I think it's the ripe apples that drive them away.

I {heart} New England Macintoshs. Expect I'll run a bunch through the magical peeler+corer+slicer machine and give them some time in the dehydrator.

Not as pretty without dipping in lemon, but tasty.

Dried mango, papaya and pineapple are often found near the dried apples and banana chips in my pack!
