Thank you and God Bless to those who gave their lives, and those who today risk their lives for our freedom and safety. Rest in peace, all those who lost their lives on that day.

I couldn't help but think that it must be really hard for the families to have to have such a highly publicized anniversary of their loved one's deaths.

Amen, and I will add those men and women who are in harms way serving their country overseas.

Ditto that. Wouldn't a "missing man" flyover of say, F-15 Eagles at Ground Zero today be appropriate for those lost there and also overseas?

I think it would send a message, we will never forget. Prayers to the families who have lost loved ones, both here and abroad.

I'll never forget watching the helpless faces of people in my eighborhood waiting to find out if their spouses or children were alive. Some were.....some were not. That day will live in my mind for as long as I live, and I truly hope that Spetember 11 will remain a somber day for as long as I live. Blessed be each and every person who felt the pain of this day

We must not forget the past, we must remembe what we once had, because the past is always with you, while the future is unknown.

We will never forget,

I remember every time I celebrate my son's birthday, as he was born that day, a couple hours before. I also knew a young woman on flight 11. It is an unforgettable day and I still get confused feelings from it...joy for my son and rage for the attack.

Yea, it's amazing how many people happened to turn on their TVs just in time to see that 2nd plane hit. I never watch TV in the morning; but I just happened to turn it on, moments before...

As for moving fwd, I will not comment on the current wars. But working in the Nat'l Security field, let me assure you, the things I see are troubling. They want to attack us again and again with everything they have. Cells are here; they are planning, preparing, and financing. I believe the greatest threat after conventional explosives (which kills relatively few) are chemicial and biological attacks that could make 911 look like a warm up.

I am greatly troubled by those among us who seem to have forgotten and/or minimized the importance of 911.......

We must remember we do not live in the United STATES of America, we live in the UNITED States of America. No longer can political boundries stop us from doing what is right and just. Whether you are black, or white, liberal or conservative, we must remember those who make the ultimate sacrafise in the name of freedom. Whether you support our current military deployments in Iraq or Afghanistan, whether you support the current President of the United States or not, we all support the people who give what very few people are willing to give.

Here's to moving forward United,
Kirby

I will always remember. I was watching it on TV when the second plane hit.

I was packing up to go hiking at Mt Rogers that morning when I got a phone call to turn on the TV........damn! My planned leaving time was delayed.

That night at Mt Rogers was so strange not hearing any aircraft crossing the sky.
