View Full Version : NJ section 6 camping
I planning on doing a short section hike of NJ sec.6. I am familiar with the area from the state line to Sunfish Pond, but beyond that is new to me. Does anyone know any cool campsites (besides the backpacker#2) in this area?

Where are the bounds of Section #6?
From Millbrook- Blairstown Rd to the NJ-PA state line. I am also interested in the area north to High Point.

Jerseyhick... At High Point State Park you'll find GREAT tent camping at Sawmill Lake. The AT intersects State Route 23 where you'll find the Ranger Station/Park Office. You get your overnight permit there. From the office head down the BlueDot Trail Approx. W/SW for a short distance to Sawmill Lake.
Resupply is available north on Rt.23 approx 5 miles up from the office.

faarside, High Point is a great suggestion. I'll have to pour over the maps this week...
