AT Hikes in Mass [Archive]

We are sponsoring 14 guided day hikes on the AT in Massachusetts on October 6th. Foliage should be at peak, and the weather is (usually) ideal for hiking. Good way to introduce some one new to hiking to the AT.

We are also having a cookout after the hikes, beginning around 4:30 at the Tyringham Fire Dept picnic pavilion. Excellent food provided by a WB member.

Do you have to be an AMC member??

You most definitely DO NOT need to be an AMC member to hike with us. The only thing you should do is contact the hike leader listed to let them know you plan to join the hike. They may (or should) ask a few questions about your experience and fitness, especially for the longer/more strenuous hikes. Hikes usually go rain or shine, but it is up to the leader to make the final decision.
