Howdy all,
How many of you remember the days of walking into a small locally owned backpacking store and knowing everyone there and everything they had in stock? These places are getting hard to find. Some are still kicking and others are still going quite strong, like Mountain Crossings.
I was shocked and pleased to find out a new store is opening up in Lafayette, LA. I was even more suprised and quite honored to be invited to play the opening of this new space (yet old historic building) which will combine music, art, and river culture with the classic backpacking.
If you're in the area, come on out Saturday night listen to my musical slide show and storytelling about a very long walk on the beach.
Let me know if any white blazers are in the house.!
