This sounds like a "food smell" attack. The bear smelled something in the tent that he liked. Also, when you've only been out a day or two, the "human smell" factor isn't as strong, so is not as much of a deterrent.:)

Yea, x2, food smell. He was just tossing him around to loosen up the M&M's from his pockets!
Nothing to worry about, of course for the 14 year old new to backpacking/camping it probably turned him into another nintendo fanatic :) .
