There is $15 difference between these two so there must be some physical differences but I can't figure out what it is. I don't own either so I have no personal experience, but I plan to buy one of them as soon as I can figure out what is different about them. Anyone know?

Yes. http://whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?p=423957

The fabrics are the same, in and out. The cut is different on the sleeves, and so the sleeves fit and move a little differently. The bodies are the same size. The "Original DriClime Windshirt" has horizontal chest pocket, mesh pit vents, no side (hand) pockets, no waist drawstring, cut with a little tail and side slits like a tennis shirt. The "DriClime Jacket" has vertical chest pocket, no pit vents, side pockets, drawstring.

The ion appears to be the same as the original but with a hood and no driclime lining, but I did not compare it in person.

I like that attitude, all I can say is I love my DC, the shell is mist proof and wt. to warmth ratio looked great to me. I have since forgot that formula but still love the jacket.

I've used this product or a variation for years. It is by far my most versatile garment and one I use all year. You'll love it!
