Solves the whole wade versus ferry debate, doesn't it?

Only if your hiking poles convert into paddles... :DOr you could substitute a Swiss Navy knife for your Swiss Army knife. ;)

looking at the pix on the site it looks more like it's just for kayaking it just makes it easier to get from trailhead/parking lot to the waters edge without having to carry that big akward kayak. there wouldn't be any room for anything else to fit inside the pack though and its 30lbs alone.

22 lbs   Think I'll take the ferry.

Seriously, I would have loved to have something like this available in my younger, cross-country hiking days for lowland hikes.

Yeah, 30 lbs with paddles, 22 without?

They do make a backpacking inflatable raft that weighs about 4 pounds, if it comes to that.

We were talking Kayak, no one said anything about paddles, LOL, How about an inflatable grapple hook and light weight line, I think James Bond could do it??

Now if you made a kayak that became a backpack then you'd have something.
