has anyone used,alcahol and outback ovens together?i have a westwind.
I use both but never together. You need a stove that can be controlled in very small increments, with some pretty long burn times. Remote mount canister stoves like the Snowpeak gigapower BF are best. Would a trangia work? maybe but not for all baking applications.

I have used alcohol stoves with my Outback oven. While they do work they are not the best choice. The flame is very hard to control on an alcohol stove and tends to grow to large and flares up at close to the end of the cooking cycle. It's really hard to keep the temps within baking range.
