Does anyone have their complete gear list on this site anywhere? I am meaning everything and not just the big stuff. Summer and winter are appreciated.

Question about gear: Would it be a good idea or a waste of time/space to carry my GPS??

My dad wanted me to carry one for personal safety, but I convinced him it would be awefully heavy, and a waste of energy to try to use.

If you are worried about loosing the trail, just pay attention, the trail can be sketchy at times, but fairly easy to follow.

Waste of time unless you just want to play with it - then it is your time to waste and you might have fun with it.

Nope, I like to waste my time with maps, books, bourbon, and music.

That would be on the large size, I think. I think 3000ci is on the small side, and 5000ci is on the large side. For now I am going to try and make 3100ci work though. On a thru-hike I would go higher, but for what I do locallym including winter hikes, I am going to try and get by with 3100ci. I suggest starting with a light weight medium sized pack, and learning from there. That's what I'm doing anyways.
