As the seasons turn in the Smokies, many of the national park's facilities will be shutting down for the winter.
The first closings will be Balsam Mountain and Heintooga roads, which will be closed beginning Thursday.
Other routes will be closed during the month with the last being Clingman's Dome and the Roaring Fork Motor Tour, both of which will shut down December 1st.
U.S. 441 between Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Cherokee, North Carolina, will be open all year as will the Little River Road between Gatlinburg and Townsend.
The smaller self-registration campgrounds close this Thursday. Elkmont campground closes December 1st. Cades Cove and Smokemont become self-registration with a limited number of campsites as of Thursday, but will remain open all winter.
