Water situation? (NC) Sam's Gap to Allen Gap

Hello,

I have been section hiking the AT and working my way north. I have been a frequent reader of this website but this is my first post.

I am hoping that one of your members has information on this section of the AT.
I am planning a 3 day trip the first weekend in December, if water is available.

There is a regular water cash on the northside of Sams Gap.

The branch on Sugarloaf should be somewhat flowing and follows the trail mostly down to Rector Laurel Road. There is a small waterfall below Sugarloaf Gap, it will probably low flow. The Flint Mountain campsite spring is dry. Flint Mtn shelter should be ok.
