I did 17 miles this weekend an out an back from Pearisburg south to Docs Knob Shelter and back. It was good to get back on the trail for the first time in over a decade. The guys I went with were gracious and excellent hike mates. We are looking to do another hike in the Spring and are considering the stretch between Harper's Ferry and SNP. What Trail club is responsible for that stretch as which section map would I need?

I just bought that section map, it's the Northern VA/Maryland map. It's the Potomac ATC that is responsible for that section.

Here's the link to the PATC Store (http://www.patc.us/store/map.htm). The map numbers you want are 7 and 8. These maps cover Northern Virginia only; they do not include Maryland which is covered by maps 5 & 6.

Yup that was me, Jeremy right? My name is Ashley. Al did a great job planning out the trip it was a good hike.

I did find the link for the maps, I just wish they weren't so dang big. It seems that the maps for Southern Virginia were much more compact and condusive for hiking. I think the bigger maps give you much more detail but it seems like it is oversized for what you want on the trail. I could be wrong.
