From the title of this thread, I thought the maintainers were letting trailside brush grow too large.

One of the latest mutual fund scandals to come to light involved a hedge fund named "Appalachian Trail."
From ATC Trail News:
The A.T. Has Nothing to Do with This Fund
The Appalachian Trail and the Appalachian Trail Conference are in no way associated with an investment "hedge fund" named either Appalachian Trail or Appalachian Trails, depending on which news account is being read in the last two weeks. It is getting considerably more attention this week in Newsweek and on MSNBC. A November 19 civil fraud action by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York attorney general accused the founders of mutual-fund manager Pilgrim Baxter & Associates of facilitating improper trading of their funds, in part by using this unfortunately named fund.

[geez.. could anyone actually have thought otherwise?]
