I was looking into going to the PA Ruck, but was curious what everyone thought of their past experiences there, I might also have my pack shaked down for the hell of it.

PS: If anyone from Maine is heading down for the weekend, let me know, I don't want to have to spend a lot of money on buses and trains.

PA Ruck is fun. The shakedown thing is BS. A joke really.

It helps the newbies. I'm sure Kirby can benefit.

Actually, the shakedown part was the purpose of the original ruck.

Kirby, If I decide to go, I will contact you so you can have a ride down and back. I would like to attend something like that, but I won't know till after Christmas.

Out of curiosity, what has lead you to believe they are stupid?

Because ultimately the trail is the best teacher. Hard to argue with a hill.
:):)
Everyone settles on their own system.

Still, it doesn't hurt to take in as many ideas as possible.
You never know when someone will connect the dots in a way you hadn't thought of.
aND, IT'S FUN!

Question is, will the PA Ruck happen? Will the hostel be open if Donna is gone? If not, any ideas of where else we can hold it?

Is Donna leaving? Isn't Ironmaster run by the AH? Wouldn't they be able to fill any vacancy?

But if they aren't open my first thought would be Bear's Den.

pa ruck is mine. touch and die. i controll the whiskey waves. do not attempt to adjust your bourbon intake.

note: pa ruck is not a party. its a serious freezing of willfull hikertypes combined with wilfull overeating. dont miss it or i will kill you. those who attend,...your lives are spared. nonattendees? forfiter life itself.
