JimJim,I have hiked it within the last month and there was water almost everywhere listed but I was hiking today and there was an abundant amount of water.

I hiked Rock Gap to Deep Gap last month, plenty of water where the maps show.
There are several side trails after Deep Gap that will take you to major streams, so, if you really had to, you could bushwack down hill and find water. I don't think that'll be necessary though.

November was a rainy month in that area and December has started out rainy. If this continues, you will have no water problems in the area... snow problems maybe :D
