TinMan offers alot of interesting stuff at antigravitygear (http://www.antigravitygear.com/). I'm sure you could make your own alcohol stove, but if you need an entire 'kitchen' anyway, you might as well go with antigravity gear and get it all at once. I don't know about the Caldera Cone, but the regular alcohol stove works great. If, and when, I need a new stove, I would get another one from TinMan.

I have one very similiar, sold by a hiker on eBay, and I love it. So much so that during a section hike, I gave one to my shuttler (if that's a word) and ordered 3 more, 1 fo rme, one for my partner, and one just in case. They are fantastic, IMO.

You can make them, but Tin Man makes them better. I saved well over a pound by switching to the basic kitchen and everything works great.

I watched a demo at Trail Days.. I was really impressed with the Caldera Cone.. They are calling it the Jet Boil for the alcohol stoves..

Traildesigns (http://www.traildesigns.com/) are the brains behind the Caldera set btw. AGG sells the line for them :)
