Hey Yall, here is a call to all for volunteers spring, summer and fall.

We need experienced backpackers to handle maintenance in the remote sections of the Smokies with The Smokies Wilderness Trail Crew (SWEAT), we need all manner of human on the Rocky Top Crew to build those Rock Cribs, Turnpikes and Steps that we all love.

Hey, I hope there are a billion million folks interested. Getting started starts on appalachiantrail.org, lemme know if you have questions, this is a good place to discuss!

I looked on AT.ORG, but didn't find any specific mention of dates for trail building/maintenance. Got anything lined up for next fall? I know it sounds silly, but at my job we already have the 08 calendar up and it's a feeding frenzy.

click on the volunteer tab at the top. then click on the application link at the bottom of that page. It shows the dates. I am hoping to do a week with the SWEAT crew in 08

Thanks Tobasco for clearing that up, SWEAT should be fun this year...sometimes the ATC webpage can be tricky to navigate....stay with it!

 I hate PDF files! I think I'm allergic.
I am not allergic to trail work, live near the GSMNP, have tools and am interested in helping and might even know some others that would be into this as well.

hey Spirit, if you want a word document of any of the pdf's you find related to trail work on the ATC, give the southern regional office a call at 828-254-3708, they will help you out!
