From the Cumberland, MD Times-News

A trail cam photo of a black bear so big, so blocky, so physically undefined that we call him Volkswagen. He has no neck and you cannot see beneath his belly.

Looks a lot like on of those "stick-in-your-lawn" cutouts of an overgrown older woman with a big behind, bending over. No offense to overgrown older women with big behinds, bending over.......

I knew black bears could grow big...but this critter is a monster....

My favorite animal to see on the trail. Thanks for the photo. One of the primary reasons I venture deep into the woods is to photograph these creatures from a respectful distance. I never get tired of it.

He is a big boy!

Without sounding too mushy, I saw my first Black Bear in the wild while on the ground this last August. It was beautiful, as black as coal, with a very brown muzzle. Beautiful animal, and as "Shrek" would say "like onions, they have layers."
