I hate that the site got hit by that stupid hacker. I guess there was a lot of damage done. Rock and Troll and everyone else... I know you worked hard to get everything back. Thank you! But it looks like we lost a few things...
I wanted to peruse the many post made by Lone Wolf over the years. It would be a shame to lose some of his best quotes. I have need of a few of the best one's that people can remember...tee hee hee... So if you can remember any of the good ones... pass them back to me.
So far I already have the following nuggests of his...
"No shelters, no leki poles, no stinky hostel bunks!" .... something like that
"I'm pithy."
You got any good ones??
Now that I think about it, one of his best wasn't online, but in a shelter register.
There was a HUGE debate of hikers noting the merits and dangers of fording the Kennebec River. Although the nature of registers is that the OP never gets to respond again, there was still a LOT of debate one way or the other.
Wolf summed it up nicely with the most succinct entry:
"Live a little. Ford the damned river!"

What a great idea for a thread. one doesn't have to worry about loosing his best stuff. One just has to look a week back or two at his current production. Who can argue that he adds a wonderful levity to WB and to all that read on. LW if you read this you have truly achieved a likable stardom here at WB. Even Newbies such as me, I am impressed with the achievement and workload you have accomplished here. Here is a small synopsis of your current writing skills.

your recent thread was great - I suspect you found my post insincere - I did nothing wrong, I spent about an hour and "worked" his stuff to discover what makes him likable. He really has a lot to offer. He is cool. Nothing wrong with the style as he speaks his mind and keeps it short.
