I went out and bought a pair of New Balance 476.
Bought them because my Gortex boots take so long to dry out.
These are a lot lighter then my boots and will dry out faster but just never hiked in a pair of low riders before. Thinking of tryn them out this week on our Shenandoah trip.
Anyways..... got new shoes. :D

I got new shoes today also. Merrell Radius which are low rise also. I wore them all afternoon they fit so good.
I used the 476 this summer in the rain from Hampton, Tn to Damascus. They are my favorite shoe! I couldn't find another pair in my size last month so I got a 478. Yes they are light and the hang to the trail on wet rocks and tree roots.

Critterman, those shoes looked nice..... No wide sizes!!!! Damn my fat feet :)

I have narrow flat feet ! It is funny how one brand fits me so well. I have tried on a bunch of brands but nothing fits me like a Merrell.

I have flat feet too. Let me know how that goes. Been debating them myself.
The brand names and model names mean very little to me because they change too fast.
