Anybody know if Eagle is still hiking and where he is, how he is doing? Thanks
I saw him late August at Manassas Gap Shelter. He's been spotted in the vicinity of Front Royal since then.
saw him on 11/6/07 in front royal, he was really getting into the civil war reenactments

Last April I ran into him at the Fontana Hilton.

I met him in central VA somewhere. He told me he was getting pretty burned out and he looked it. I gave him all the extra food I could get rid of. He was having doubts about making it. I really hope he did though. I asked about him on occasion but never heard anything more on him.

Assuming this is Nov., he is moving backwards. I saw him ca. 9/23/07 a day south of Front Royal. He was planning to go back to Front Royal and focus on the reenactments. He was still planning to finish but at a very leasurely pace. Sounds like he may take longer than 12 months.

I know the last time I saw him he said that he was going to take his time on this one and enjoy himself. Sounds like that is exactly what he's doing. I hope I run into him again the next time I hit the trail..he's great company and he makes a mean cup of coffee :)..
