I've been looking into solo tents, and would like some advice. What would people recommend? I'd like to save on weight, but my pack is always pretty light (30-35 pounds depending on how much food I'm taking) so I can afford a few extra pounds. Most important is how easy it is to set up & price (and of course, quality). I'm short (5'4), so I wouldn't have the same problem I know lots of people do as far as height/length.
Any advice would be appreciated.

You might be a candidate for the Gate Wood Cape.. poncho/tarp...

Look at Tarptent.com, Six Moons Designs, MSR Hubba, and Big Agnes SeedHouse

Tried darn near all of them and the Lunar Solo-e (Six Moon Designs) tops my list for a solo tent with floor at 23 ounces.

Now ...if you want to save weight and don't mind sleeping on a piece of tyvek rather than having a sewn-in floor, check out the Wild Oasis (also from Six Moon Designs). Patterned after the Gatwood Cape but the hood is gone and replaced with an apex vent. Mesh netting all around the bottom keeps the creep crawlers and flying assassins out.

There was a thread opened very recently with this same title. Check it out.
