I am looking to replace my old Patagonia belly/lumbar pouch and want something as light as possible. I usually carry current map, glasses, Snicker bar, a few vitamin I tabs, and a small camera in it. Any ideas of who makes a good pouch?

I have an older Patagonia, lightweight canvas fanny pack that I wear to the front, under my pack's hip belt. Inside keep my digital camera esconced insde another thin pouch, journal, pens, guide (AT)or current map (most any other trail) compass. It has a hidden zippered pouch where i stash my cards & cash. It is easy to keep with me when I am away from my pack. It does weigh .40 Lbs or 6.4 oz so t is heavy, but against that would be the weight of any hip belt pouch were I to go that route. The fanny pack is perhaps not the best alternative but is the best I have found that works for me. The fanny pack is always underneath my raingear so s always dry, whereas anything on a hip belt would get wet/damp with any rain gear except a poncho. My version s not made anymore, though

Pretty hard to get lighter than your pants pockets. That's not much of a load volume or weight wise.

I bought a fly fishing vest - works great for me and has enough pockets for everything and then some.

Pants pockets would yield too much motion for the electronics of my camera. It want hold my journal, pen, guide and/or maps. And if it would it should be uncomfortable to take many steps
