AT Wall Map

We've been trying to put some stuff on the walls and I want this to go on one of them.

Does anyone know of a place to get it that is already mounted? Other than the ATC store? I'm told I should find one mounted on something black.

Kinda a gay post but I've looked all over with no luck.

For my birthday my wife got the map and had it mounted locally for less than the ATC store. I think it was at a frame store. She also added a side panel to post photos on. Shouldn't be difficult to find a store to do it in Atlanta.

Thanks I was just looking for the easy way out. Not a big shopper. I'm going to try and make it up to trail days to see if someone up there has something nice

I was lucky to receive one as a gift from a friend. They do a nice job. He ordered it from my house and it was on my wall in just a few says.

I have one that I got at Amicalola State Park. I didn't pay for the mounted one.
Why does it needed to be mounted on black?
I just tacked mine to the wall.

I have that map and had it mounted locally at a frame shop like Alligator mentioned above. Now I'm going to make a custom wood frame for it with the AT logo carved into the top piece of the frame.

A simpler approach, that also looks nice is to buy some cork board and glue that to a thin piece of wood for rigidity and hanging support. Then glue the map to the cork. I cut the board smaller than the cork, so all you see is cork. Now it is a simple matter of using push pins to track progress of my section hikes. You could add a frame, but I think mine looks fine without the frame in my home office.

Or you could make a frame. That's what I did. You can get plexiglass cut pretty cheap at Hobby Lobby.

Is it really worth the time and effort to make one, glue it, etc.? I know its not for me. I would just take it to a frame shop. Just my .02.

Obviously, if you are a buy-it-yourselfer, a do-it-yourself project may not work for you. :)

Most framng stores can put it on a block frame for you. Not a frame per se, but gives it a museum look.

Frame shop or just stick it up with some tacks, I did the tack up option.
