View Full Version : Transportation to Springer
Can someone tell me the best place to get transportation from Gainseville to Amicalola SP or Springer. My sons and I will be droppong off the rental car at Gainseville and was wanting some opinions about transportation. I didn't know about a cab or if any of the shuttle services listed in a book I have are still in business. Also maybe an idea of how much $$$. We plan on arriving either the 4th or 5th of June. Thanks.
I guess I should have put this in the Trail Heads and Shuttles thread. Sorry, I'm new here.

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. The hiker hostel looks good but I couldn't get their shuttle rates to come up. It was in an excel spreadsheet file and wouldn't work for me, probably something with my computer not their website. I did save their phone # though. The post by JoJo had some good info, and reminded me to look on the ATC page. I found everything I need (I think) for a ride from Gainesville on the ATC site. The shuttle list I printed up was current as of 11/07. Thanks

hbower, you'll be very happy with the service and arrangement's provided by these folks at Hiker Hostel. They "rescued" an ill hker beginning a thru hike last spring, and provided wonderful arrangement's for us last spring when I returned to the AT at Woody Gap. Prepare yourself for a KILLER breakfast!
