Once more with feeling...the Redford-Bryson story just won't die...

PARK CITY, Utah - With the Sundance Film Festival nearly over, Robert Redford is going for "A Walk in the Woods."
Redford told The Associated Press that his next film project is an adaptation of the best-selling 1998 Bill Bryson book about hiking the Appalachian Trail. He will produce the film and star as Bryson, and Barry Levinson is expected to direct it... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22857266/

Sorry 'bout the duplication of another thread.:o I checked "General" and "Straight Forward"...never thought to check "AT Trail News Today"...not sure how it fits there but as long as the story is somewhere...

Redford as Bryson is a suspension of belief but then, that's what movies are about. I hope he leaves out the part about throwing the trash over the trailside down the hill...

Did you know he is 71? Born in August of '36.
But he'll always be the Sundance Kid to me.

That's what I mean...he's a bit older than what I picture Bryson as in the book. But probably still prettier...:D

I thought the concept had died - haven't seen anything aobut it in ages and hardly anything when I google it. (?) Wasn't there filming done on it last year in SC or something?

I want to find his agent and offer to write the Screenplay, being that that is what I do, as well as hike.

I wonder how many people I would p&^* off by doing that?:D

Good Idea, also point him to WB and TJ.
He'll need more than Bryson's book to get it "right".
