I ordered the maps through ATC. it was around $206.00 for the membership, complete map only set and I also bought 4 of the wall maps so my sister's/brother's kids can keep track of me when I call them. I figure this will keep them involved in the trip and help teach them the state, countys and all that good stuff.

Well worth it, plus you are helping out the A.T. Dont forget, you will be able to sell them after your trip to get some mony back. Personaly I plan to mark them up as I hike, sleep, stay at certain places - so I will be keeping mine.
