Hi guys, i'm looking for a summer sleeping bag for my 2009 thru hike. I have a marmot helium (15 degrees), but i want to send it home when the weather gets warm. I want one that's rated for forty degrees, and that'll keep me warm at forty degrees. I also want it synthetic, for the warm & wet weather.

These are the bags i'm looking at:

Montbell Burrow Bag

Marmot Pounder

Mountain Hardwear UltraLamina 32

If anyone has any suggestions speak up. It would be really helpful.

I have the marmot atom. The down can be move around so you can make it warmer or cooler. It stuffs to the size of a grapefruit. 1 pound. I love it

I've had an EMS Velocity 35 for a couple of years now. Very happy with it. Rated to 35*.

I've had it at 11500 ft in the Sierras, tarp for shelter, windy, and temp below freezing (ice on trail and in water bottles, thin film on lake in the morning) and slept perfectly warm. I wore light weight poly pro underwear and a light fleece hat along with a silk liner.

The Primaloft insulation compresses very well. I got an earlier version on sale at EMS for $130 something if I remember right. Check it out:
