You've been on the trail for days. Ramen and freeze dried meals are beginning to tire your taste buds. So if some other hiker reached into his/her bag and tossed you one of these would you eat it? :-?

The pic of the burger on that website can't be what comes out of the can.:-?

This has been mentioned on several threads recently - and I STILL wouldn't eat it. But, hey, I'm not starving.......

I'd probably take a nibble and see how it went.

There's no way I'd spend my hard earned money on it and then put it in my pack with the intent of making a meal out of it somewhere down the trail.

Now, if I was starving and found a "cheeseburger in a can?" Yeah, I'd take a nibble and see how things went.

Bet that's where McDonald's cheeseburgers come from. I've eaten Rocky Mountain Oysters before so sure, I'd try one.

How did they pack it so it all stays so great to eat looking? We've come a long way.

I’ll pass on the mountain oysters, that’s just wrong on so many levels.

Did anyone else notice that the burger is taller than the can in which it comes? No way that thing can look like that coming out of the can. Either way, I wouldn't feed it to my ex-wife's dog.

Only wrong when you know what you're eating; I didn't till afterwards. I'd rather go snipe hunting; less traumatic.

That's just typical marketing BS. Back in the 80's HBO had a series of programs called "Buy Me That". They were designed for kids to show them how companies try to trick them into wanting things. The one thing I remember was the part about breakfast cereal commercials. When they were pouring that bright, white, tasty looking milk over the cereal what they were actually pouring was white glue....it looked so much better on camera.

Okay, if you're not into canned cheeseburgers maybe you'd be more amenable to having these on the trail:

Just because it comes out of a can doesn’t make it nasty. My son and I do a lot of camping ( we use to, he’s 18-years old now and discovered cars & woman) and I would take spam and use it for breakfast. In scrambled eggs, or sliced thin and fried. I took it on the camping trips because it needed no refrigeration like real ham. But now after years of camping he prefers spam to regular ham in eggs. I still like the real thing. Use the word spam around others and you hear Yuck. To me it’s ok, ham is better, but I still take spam when camping.
