Greetings,
I am considering to use a Equinox Sil Poncho for my thru-hike staring in March.
Does anyone have experience with this specific poncho?
How have the snaps held up?
The stitching?
Thanks.
Godspeed
I am not familiar with that poncho but this one works for me:

If it's from Equinox, it's probably made with sil-nylon. So, it's lightweight, but not at all breathable. It will puncute easily, but not tear like Frogg Toggs.
Generally speaking, ponchos are not recommended for thru-hiking, especially where exposed to the wind. The wind gets under/inside them, and brings in rain with them. So, my recommendation is to get a rain jacket instead.
