But i'm reluctantly rooting for the Giants.

Oh, David, have you forgotten the last regular season game? New England fans everywhere hope your prediction is right, but who can forget Week 17. The Giants led most of the game. They had a 28-16 advantage in the third quarter.

In the end, the Pats pulled it off. They beat the Giants, 38-35, but it was a nail-biter. Let's hope they can do it again, tonight!

Congress has much better/more important matters to pay attention to, but the league still did a horrible job allowing those tapes to be destroyed. I wonder why they were so quick to destroy them if there was nothing to hide. Lastly, keep an eye on Matt Walsh, former Patriot video employee who seems to have some secrets he'll divulge should congress go there. It's not like they'll reward the Rams the 01-02 Superbowl, but it makes you wonder what other illegal things this team has participated in the past 7 years.

It's reported they (Pats) taped the Rams walk-thru practice the day before the game. Considering the Pats narowly won (by 1 pt) this could have provided an edge. But, to be fair, nothing's been proven yet.

Except the 45 minutes of walk thru were all red zone plays and the Rams were 1 for 1 in that situation.

Just more BS.

Your missing the point. It was still illegal, and that leaves to the imagination what other transgressions they may have performed. If someone tells several small lies, are they generally still viewed as a credible source after that?

And if it didn't yield results why were they doing it, and still doing it (at the Jet game) 6 years later?

Pooptrots? (chuckle) sorry, but that is funny. I said it before but the greatest upset game of all time for me was when my beloved Mountaineers took care of Michigan in their house. As a Giants fan I took almost as much ribbing this past week...so, on a rainy, dreary Monday, it's just an all-around sweet day.

DavidNH[/B]] Guys...

God himself could not beat the Patriots this year. They are that good.

Someone said something similar about a ship once. It was the Titanic.

I found the exit odd. Wonder if it was a security thing.

I think he just didn't want 93 million people to see him crying.

Wow. As a near lifelong New Englander, I'm REALLY glad I didn't comment on this thread earlier or make a prediction (I'm better with political guesswork than I am with sports). Congratulations to my New York friends, it was a great game. And now we can happily move on to far more significant things......pitchers report to Spring training in a matter of days, and the REAL sprots season is about to begin.

GO SOX!!

I wore a Yankees hat all day in school today, but I of course wore a bright red Boston Red sox shirt as well.

A Yankee hat and a Red Sox shirt?

Is this some new sort of cross-dressing phenomena? An attempt to be all things to all people? Some sort of diversity thing, where nobody suffers loss of self-esteem by feeling left out? Some new adolescent fad that I was happily unaware of til now?

What sort of liberal goo-goo school do you attend, anyway?

Kirby, some brief advice:

Lose the hat. In fact, BURN the hat.

Immediately.

I made a bet with my Yankees friend over the Super Bowl, and I lost, so I had to wear the hat all day. I am a 100% Red Sox fan, grew up 30 miles south of Boston.

I "accidentally" poured hydrochloric acid on it today during science class, and the hat came off the moment the school day ended.

Jack, I live in Portland, I can most likely count the number of conservatives in this city on one hand, with room to start the count of the liberals.

I would have had more respect for Belicheck if he stayed on the field.

Very poor sportsmanship. Reminiscent of A-Rod's agent announcing his free agency during the last game of the World Series. Let the winner have their moment.

I guess if I had to wear the hat of a team that had been beating my favorite team like a drum - for years - I'd be unhappy too. :D

'Surprised? If I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet I wouldn't be more surprised.'

Wifes favorite movie.

Gotta give it up to the G-men. Maybe losing the negative mouthpieces of Tiki and Shockey gave Eli the chance to shine.

The worst part is the Pats can win the next 5 superbowls and unless they go 19-0 they will never redeem themselves from the biggest choke in sports history.

This is worse than the Yankees being up 3-0 and then losing to the Sox in the ALCS.

It's not arrogant if you can back it up. 26 World Championships is nothing to sneeze at Kirby. :sun The Yankees have a rich winning tradition. I understand that's what irks the Red Sox fans. Call me when the Sox win another 20 World Series. That's when it will start to get interesting. ;)

Now that the Super Bowl is over, this thread is funny as hell to read. I agree the Pats are the current Dynasty but not unbeatable. I am glad to see Eli do something his brother, being the jerk he was when he was in his 2nd year, could not. And congrats to the underdogs who beat the team "even God himself could not". My wife complained that the commercials sucked and my comment, as I was cleaning the house and watching one of the greatest games I have ever seen, was this was a true Super Bowl. WTG Giants!
