As the AT becomes known to the world by way of books like A Walk in the Woods, I was wondering if the number of International hikers is increasing.

Thought I would ask International White Blaze members: "What part of the World are you from"?

Because WB is so closely associated with the AT only, it doesn't have the international membership boards that discuss backpacking trails in general enjoy. Go to other backpacking boards and you will see many international hikers are active members.

A little fellow by the name of Robert Redford is about to change

Careful there: I posted this about 2 weeks ago about someone that tried to come back in AFTER the rules had changed. Read about it here: http://www.sott.net/articles/show/14...isiting-the-US (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/145536-A-young-blonde-Icelandic-woman-s-recent-experience-visiting-the-US)
