Is hunting and fishing allowed along the AT? What are the regulations state per state?

Only asking becuase I like to hunt and fish.

Don't know what you want to hunt but if you start south from Katahdin around Oct, you will hit deer season in just about every state along the way.

Dude if you thru then you will be too tired to hunt or fish anything but your meal and water at night. There were several nights when I ate a power bar rather than fire up the stove jsut to be able to go to sleep a half hour quicker.
Another reason if I do it again I am keeping myself down to the 15 mile per day max plan. I loved it but would have enjoyed it a lot more if I had listened to Model T and others that told me to slow down.
