Does anyone know what is available in the way of super lightweight tripods for backpacking? Thanks.

Ditto what Footslogger used, 'cept mine's blue. The velcro strap makes it pretty handy.

The Joby GorillaPod is definitely the way to go.

I have the Joby and it works fine with my P&S, but is hard to use with my Rebel. I have heard good things about both the above mentioned tripods. I don't think you could go wrong with either. Oh you can get the Joby with a ball head, which could be a pulse.

I have this little guy and love it. It practically folds away flat against the body of the camera so no extra space is taken up! and inexpensive too!

A buddy bought me the medium Joby (my camera is closer to a slr than a p&s). I haven't figured out where to rig it for easy access. I like that it has a quick disconnect you leave screwed on the camera.
