Im making a rough plan as I look through the guidebook. Im seeing that I can leave from Springer March 16-17. Would 5.5 weeks be about right to walk to Damascus, Va (461.1 miles)?

Yea im looking at it as something to do to keep me focused on the ultimate goal
5.5 weeks ought to be time enough to get from Springer to Damascus, IMO. The speedsters will do it faster, for sure.
Hike your own hike.Enjoy,adjust your inteniary as you go. It is hard to predict what you will encounter once you start your journey.
