View Full Version : Can 'Velcro" type material be cleaned

wondering what the best way is to clean and 'refresh' velcro. Anyone have any ideas?

I generally use my fingernail, and you could use a pair of tweezers if it's bad enough.

With regular Velcro, normally it is the hooky side that loads with hair, dirt etc.... i have used a wire brush quite successfuly to clean it fast and easy... no drying time either.

Lay it on the drieway, put a foot on one end and use the hardest stream your hose pipe can produce.... I've precleaned a lot of nasty stuff that way before my wife would let me put it in the washer.

Go to a store where gun cleaning supplies are sold. Get a bronze brush, looks like a wire toothbrush, about 3 bucks. Works well for me.
