Yes, most do. Some for a seperate charge than the lodging.

Yes, but you may want some shower shoes.

Also, there is a section in the back of the ALDHA Companion with a table of cheap places to take showers and wash clothes along the trail. Invaluable for anyone on a tight budget.

One of the smartest things I came across was at the N.O.C. In the common shower room was a washer and dryer. Now that is a great idea, you can wash evey thing while you was yourself.

Really? I never thought to use shower shoes once...you're so dirty anyway all the time it seems...even with a shower...or you get dirty real quick and so does your feet wearing the same socks day in and day out and putting feet in wet trail runners or boots - something sure to grow in there and more likely than a shower stall, I'd think.

I've been on swim team through high school and college, and been through so many locker rooms and showers that I could hardly count them all. I never wear shower shoes, but I've never gotten a foot ailment. Don't know why!

super strong feet? exposed so long I became immune? just lucky? :-?

I always use to Crocs anytime I am using a public shower. I just like to take care of the feet:)

Maybe not in hostels but don't forget the coin operated showers along the trail.
