Yahoo! Kirby. You've got all of us pulling for you. You've shown enough maturity to be able to force yourself to start s-l-o-w. You've shown enough horse sense to pull off the trail for a zero when needed, physically and/or psychologically. As in a race, if you want to go the distance, hold back, doing way lower miles than you are capable of doing. Your body will thank you for that as it performs to perfection on up the trail. And, by the way, which are your favorite cookies?--Kinnickinic

Good luck, man!
I am a big chocolate chip cookie fan myself. it feels odd, it is hard to believe i will get this show on the road in 10 days. i am looking forward to standing on springer and starting my walk north.

After a couple of miles it stops being so much like a dream and more like work. But it is a good feeling.

Kirby, still not sure when I'm starting, but I bet I catch you.;)
Remember, Rain and Pain leads to Maine. As well as a lot of really swell stuff. :)
Happy Hiking!
Good Luck young man, Oyaron awaits.

Walking = Warm.
It also helps to get some of those pesky miles out of the way.
I'm going to be in the Smokies from March 7-10....maybe if you walk fast I'll see you.
