Was out yesterday killing a gift cirt., came across a pair of Nike flip flops, they cost only $20.00 and weigh in at 7.75oz for the pair.

Figure if your looking for a set of light weight camp shoes, these fit the bill pretty good. I will be changing out my old set for these, they feel better then my curent camp shoes and weigh less.

The flip-flops are too wide for women's feet, but he-dino has a pair (Christmas gift) and they don't slid around.

These fit tight, they dont have the part between your toes but rather they wrap around your foot.

Of course I have 4EEEE feet, so that may be why they dont flop to badly. :)

I got a pair of lowprofile webbed shoes from my local outfitter, they're pretty common, I'm sure you have one where you live. It's called Walmart.:D Seriously they have some things that ain't bad, these shoes cost <$10 and will even be good for fording, if the need arises.

I use the nike flip flops for hiking. I made some straps out of light bungee chord to hold them on my feet while fording. Worked out pretty well

What size feet do you have and what do you wear? I have 13 EEE and I find the selection is somewhat limited. With 4E feet you must have some trouble as well.

Yea but that litte toe string would bother the heck outta me.

I did buy a pair of "house slippers" from Wal-Mart ($13.00), the rubber soled/cloth ones. The soles sucked, you can feel every branch and sharp rock. They did keep the feet warm.

When I wore these Nikes in the store, I walk over the benches and some weights on the floor - no pain to the bottom of my feet. Figure the wool socks will help keep the feet warm enough. :)

I bought the Family Dollar Crocs for $5 over a year ago and they're still going strong. well, actually the right one is wearing faster than the left, but only because I haven't worn the left in a few months... :)
