Well I am sitting here recovering from ACL surgery, had it yesterday. The second time I have torn it, First time lasted me seven years, not a bad run eh? Well think of me when you are on the trail!

You'll be alright 4-6 weeks.
Don't let the Doc keep you in a locked brace.

Been there done that. Sucks and the PT hurts like heck, especially at first, but I'm sure you know from the 1st time, the harder you work at PT, without overworking, the quicker you are back doing what you want.

Good luck.

Maybe it's an opportunity to dream up gear designs and trail- food recipes.

Good luck; speedy recovery!

Pattellar tendon graft?

Is that German?? Good luck with your recovery and we'll make sure the trail is still there when you're ready to come back.

That is a bad feeling. Injuries are never fun, but when they keep you from hiking it really stinks. I hope your recovery goes well.

Just crawl. It's better than sitting at home or going to work.

Been there, done that, hamstring tendon graft. Too late to get a continuous passive motion (CPM) machine? It was my ACL tear that got me into hiking again because I couldn't play basketball anymore.
