The Thru Hikers handbook by Bob Mc Caw and Wingfoot has this shelter as a right hand turn off of the trail for a NOBO I was up there last fall and I could swear it is a left off of the trail for a nobo.
I have given this information to Bob and he feels the book is correct.
Can anyone help in clearing this difference up?
Thanks

Bob's right.
It's indeed a right hand turn going NOBO, but is a left turn if coming from the state park office/headquarters.
Right turn for nobo, then about 25 yards or less to the shelter itself. The shelter is about 1/2 mile south of the park HQ.

It's a right off the trail going north... Sorry!
Actually apparently everyone is right (ahem, correct).
It was a right (as many of us remember) but the trail has recently been re-loed to the other side of the shelter, so it's actually apparently a left now (as per Bob S on the other thread).
So Robert remembers correctly, as do all of us. The trails just been in two different locals. :)
