Thru Hikers

I live around the Roan Mountain area and would like to know a time line when thru hikers will be passing through the area. I plan on taking several day hikes during that period to give out frest fruit and such things as that.

You better check the Trail Magic thread. Accoding to the self-proclaimed TM authorities, you are not allowed to do trail magic ON the trail.

to answer your question, mid-April to mid-May you'll see a lot of hikers in that area

They're already starting to trickle through the area, but it will probably be another month or so before it starts getting 'busy'...
