My dad and I are leaving for hot springs on the 29th 0f feb. I'll hike with him for about a week; then he will be leaving and my goal is to hike to harpers ferry by May
3rd, Im a 24 year old male who will probably be averaging about 15 mpd. I know its short notice but it's worth a try.

It's around 830 miles of hiking. If you leave Hot Springs in early March and want to be done by early May, you'll be doing closer to 13 miles per day, not 15.
In other words, I think you'll be just fine.
I'm planning on hiking from Gatlinburg, TN to Harper's Ferry starting on March 24th. I need to be at Harper's Ferry by the 15th of May. I'd be happy to meet up if you'd like, and if you think it would meet your schedule. I'm a 27 year old male engineer/science type. Let me know...
