IGNORE THIS POST - MY MISTAKE!

So I see on Gossamer Gear's site that the Platypus Reservoir and their bladders are being discontinued. I've checked a couple other sites, and none to be found.

This is really too bad. I've used them for years and really liked 'em!

Anything else out there as light and compact when not being used?

I think you should say you can't buy platys from Gossamer Gear anymore, they appear to still be in production.

Cascade Designs:

Click on Platypus. They are still being made although I dont see how they make money. They are so cheap and last almost forever. Since they are so light & roll up when empty I like them better than anything else-even empty plastic drink bottles.

Actually, the Gossamer Gear site said they were no longer available, had been discontinued. The ones in your link are different than the ones I've used before. Guess they are just new models.

I will say, my google searches are acting kinda goofy. If I put in platypus, the only links that come up are to Gossamer Gear.

Platypus products are still being offered at both Campmor and REI:confused:.

Mystery solved, somehow my google search window had a lot of extra, invisible search terms - wierd. Had to manually delete all of these to get it to search properly.

Ignore my first post - they just updated their products.

I WISH THEY WOULD MAKE AN AFFORDABLE WATER FILTER FOR SEA WATER. SINCE I FOUND OUT I NOW CARRY 2 LITERS IN MY KAYAK.

I'm glad you posted it.

The reservoir replacements (http://www.platypushydration.com/product_detail.aspx?ProdID=31) seem to be just what I've been looking for!

Answer to your first sentence:

http://sea-pack.com/seapack-faq_2.html

Cost-less than $100

As for the second sentence...I cannot determine what you wish to say. I can get many more liters than two liters in mine.
