My brother and I should be leaving about then. He's starting his Thru and I'm just tagging along for a few days til I have to report to Hawaii for work...

got my vacation request in today! i'm trying to satisfy my itch to get back on trail as much as possible. all the talk about thru hike leave dates is driving me crazy. i'm shooting for a 2010 thru, which feels like it might as well be the 12th of never....

but i'll most likely be there around the 16th-17th. also trying for a weekender this saturday/sunday. (1st/2nd)

There should be plenty of thru's to keep you company.

My plan is to start at Springer April 16 but like all good plans.....
there will be too many thrus still in April and it will not thin out until way past Ga. Hope to see you on the Trail. I will be the slow old guy you pass. BUT I will be enjoying it more this time. ModelT gave me good advice I ignored in 06 but intend to follow this time.
