February 29th is an extra day. It is supposed to be special. Some folks use it to donate time to a charity or do good works. I wanted to go for a hike today, but looks like my husband has other plans... So what are you doing?

But hubby and I went out for breakfast this AM.

Going out to a restaurant with my family (home from college) and our DIL-to-be. I did get the girls some 'Happy Extra Day' gifts* to open at dinner.

Mother in laws birthday....she's 14.
Same old, same old - I worked.
I will be going to a shelter for folks getting out of prison (no, not me! :D) for dinner. My wife made Shepherd's Pie (I think she used real shepherds - not German :p). I guess that's special.

I'm am reading the bible with a one year plan. I couldn't find today's date; so I guess I got the day off from reading. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out the problem.

Worked, of course, then spent the evening helping a friend pack for her first-ever backpacking trip.
Yes, this weekend I am going out with 13 novice adult backpackers as one of two advisers. It promises to be quite enjoyable, if comedic at times. We're only hiking five miles each day. The weather is supposed to be just about perfect--60s during the day; 30s at night. To amuse myself I'm actually going to cook food. I'm taking the 3-season sleeping bag and pack for their first outings of the new year. It promises to be a very fine weekend.
Day off from employment? yup, the 59th one this year:rolleyes:
Been pushing back 6' tall snowbanks with plow rig today in preparation for another foot tomorrow, not much room left for snow in these parts.
