View Full Version : Safely in Amicalola Falls
Morning everyone, Shadowmoss and Shiloh were kind enough to allow me to use their computer while I am here at the lodge eating breakfast. I arrived safely yesterday morning, and rested all day. I am feeling great, ready to get this show on the road. It is supposed to be nice today, good day to start. I will hit the Approach Trail between 10 and 10:30AM, I am going to start from the top of the falls, the falls are quite nice. So, in the words of Edward R. Murrow, good night, and good luck. Shiloh and cerberus and Lost My Mind are here at the lodge. Kirby's group camped next to us last night. Jan came by and we got pics with her for the ones starting today. So far, it's fun.
Kirby looks good, calm and confident. The group he's with looks like the kind of folks who will be fun to hike with.

Best tip - take it easy! Don't rush those first few weeks. And most of all, have a great time and stay safe.

Kirby, good luck. Enjoy your hike. I think Blissful gave some good advice. Take it easy the first few weeks.
Best of luck, Kirby. I'm confident you will do okay. Just use a little restraint these early days. The human body can do great things if you break it in carefully.

Reallly nice young man, it was a pleasure to meet him. Very excited about this adventure. I have pictures he wants me to post. I'll try to get that done tomorrow. Just got back to Nashville and I need a shower!
