24 of 40 too..
What percentage never made it out of Georgia?
Lots of folks are holed up waiting for the snowstorm to pass. They'll be out tomorrow or so, I'll bet, heading for NC.

Young man,
Maybe it would be best to ask what is the success rate so far.
If you are considering a section or Thru-Hike in the future, maybe concentrating on the positives of preparing and planning, rather than the negatives you are looking for here.:-?
Best of luck to you.

Haha, very well put. When I saw the thread i thought the same.
Seems like this storm really put a damper on things. Makes me realize that the overall plan gets thrown out right after you start. It has made me simplify things a bit more.

Success rate?? Huh?!? That just smacks of good energy and spirit to the trail and fellow hikers. We certainly couldn't have that. Oh no no no. Tsk tsk.
I would say that as of now the sucess rate is 0%, no completions yet.

The night after I first climbed Katahdin I wrote out my entire schedule for the next thirty days.
Hah!
That schedule lasted a day and became laughable with each passing day.:o

The key to success in achieving a goal is focusing not on how far you have to go, but rather how far you have come.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Phil 4:13

Ashman... I really like your tag line's. Also Matthew 6:34 works well for me.

Calm down now. It was colonel chaco's B-day on saturday so I beat the cr@p out of him. An Irish holiday, Whisky, fire, and fisticuffs. We burned like 5 X-mas trees.
