I've used them; often still do, in fact. Only complaint is the shortness of them. They're about a normal pillow wide, and unfortunately about the same long (i.e., a square).

I've heard that some people use kids water wings for an air pillow but this time of year I wouldn't know where to find them. Not at Walmart around where I live.

Just blow up a 1 gallon baggie and put it in a shirt

Now this is a lightweight air pillow www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/flexair_ultralight_pillow.html
It's crap used as a head pillow IMO......I use it under my knees in the hammock.

my bad bro! i didn't see the air pillow inside of it. i took a quick glance at it and said to myself 'you gotta be ****ting me'. i actually picked 2 of these up today for the old lady and myself. i'll take the 6ozs anyday when it comes to sleeping comfortably

Cut the pillow open remove the memory foam and reseal, cuts the weight to 2.5oz. no appearent loss in comfort.

I use a regular pillow. Its the best night sleep and I dont care about the weight because a good nights sleep is more important to me.

Therma rets makes several different size pillows made of stuffed something. Unroll them when you set up camp and later you have a nice fluffy pillow

I use a filled platypus wrapped in a piece of clothing for a pillow. If the water is too cool to wrest your little head on, warm a bit up and it in. Use the water in the morning and get going. Zero extra weight.
